Lotto Tip# 7: Probability of 10 to 19 Being Drawn

Are the teens your favorite numbers, or the numbers beginning with one (called tens) like 10, 11, 13, 14, 17, 19? Well, forget it. Actual probability results say that having 6 numbers from 10 to 19 are very unlikely. In fact, no straight 10s have been drawn yet as of this date. See the table below.

Five 10's out of six

If your favorite lotto numbers contain 5 numbers from 10 - 19, the probability of hitting all 5 is 0.10%. That's a very low probability.

Four 10's out of six

If your favorite lotto numbers contain 4 numbers from 10 - 19, the probability of hitting all 4 is 1.76%. That's still very low.

Three 10's out of six

If your favorite lotto numbers contain 3 numbers from 10 - 19, the probability of hitting all 3 is 10.23%. It's an improvement but still low.

Two 10's out of six

If your favorite lotto numbers contain 2 numbers from 10 - 19, the probability of hitting all 2 is 30.22%. That looks fair.

One out of six or none at all

The probability of hitting one number from 10 - 19 is 38.57%; and using not any from 10 - 19 has a chance of 19.12%.

In a Nutshell

Ideally, your lotto numbers should contain only 2 numbers from 10 - 19. You may opt to using only one or none at all, but never 3, 4, 5, or 6 numbers in one row.

If you opt to use only one from 10 - 19, the best position is to put it in the second or third column. If you use two, the best positions are the second and third columns. For example, your first three numbers may be something like 3-12-15 or 2-9-12. You may also opt to something like 1-3-12-17. Should you wish to skip the numbers 1 to 9, your first two numbers should be any two from 10 to 19. Using only one from 10 to 19 in the first position, for example, 12-22-29 is very rare.

Good luck! I hope this guide helps. Remember, enjoy and have fun!
